The Society for the Promotion of Skin-Tolerant Textiles is an association of strong partners from the textile and clothing industry who are engaged in the manufacturing and labelling of skin-tolerant textiles. Responding to the needs of the consumers for hygienically immaculate textiles, the Society offers concrete support for responsible manufacturers of textiles with the following services:
- Preparation of criteria and test methods for the evaluation of the skin
tolerance of skindeep ,close worn textiles - Testing through an independent testing laboratory
- Awarding of a seal of approval ''medically tested and tested for toxins"
- Reliable product labelling for consumers
- Information for consumers on the skin tolerance of textiles
- Consultation of companies for the production of skin-tolerant textiles as well as recommendations for improvement of critical materials
